Résumé de la thèse

The main focus of this project is to explore the nature of time in the context of

international adjudication. The working hypothesis is that time is an extra-legal element

that interferes with the function of international courts and tribunals on many different

levels and stages (jurisdiction, admissibility, merits). Throughout the judicial process, time becomes an

essential part of the judicial function and is, thus, judicialized.
