The second seminar of the SMS program dedicated to the One Health Approach, will be an interactive session. This exercise will allow the participants to apply the methods / approaches discussed during the first seminar . It will be directed by th e two co-directors of the program, Professors Mélanie Levy and Sandra Hotz. 

Description

The program's objective is to introduce participants to different legal theories and extralegal tools, methods and theories of the social sciences and humanities. The theme chosen for the 2023/2024 academic year is the One Health Approach.

One Health is an integrated, unifying approach that aims to sustainably balance and optimize the health of people, animals and ecosystems. It recognizes that the health of humans, domestic and wild animals, plants, and the wider environment (including ecosystems) are closely linked and interdependent. The interdisciplinary emphasis is the signature strength of the program and constitutes an original and unique offer. The program is designed to train participants to diversify their research focuses and skills and realize original contributions in their disciplinary fields as well as in the broad area of public health and medicine.

 

Programme

The second seminar on December 07 will be an interactive session. This exercise will allow the participants to apply the methods / approaches discussed during the first seminar. It will be directed by the two co-directors of the program, Professors Mélanie Levy and Sandra Hotz. 

This session will delve into the role of law in the context of the One Health approach. It aims to facilitate discussions on the involvement of law within interdisciplinary research projects.

The focus will be on actively involving participants in exploring the significance of law in interdisciplinary research. This interactive exercise offers a platform to collectively discuss and analyze the multifaceted role of law in shaping and supporting interdisciplinary endeavors.
